A set of modules on data use have been included that draw on the resources that are shared elsewhere in this toolkit. These modules can be used either individually or together, either at the individual school level or by intermediary organizations providing training on a broader scale.

  • The modules are structured so that each could last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, a typical timeframe for a workshop. However, the modules could also be linked together as part of a longer 1-2 day retreat on data use. Use your knowledge of the audience and its needs when planning each session. You may need to spend more time on a certain topic depending on the audience.
  • Each protocol has been written with the facilitator in mind, so there are notes and tips to help you have a successful workshop.
  • In addition, it may be appropriate for facilitators to set specific goals and expectations about next steps or follow up. However, these kinds of expectations will vary greatly depending on context and audience, so they have not been included in the modules themselves. Individual facilitators should work with the participating schools and intermediaries to determine what follow-up is appropriate for each individual context.
  • Lastly, the modules draw upon the tools within this toolkit. The tools used in the module will be linked on the same page as the protocol.
